Last time I tried to write this entry, the entire system froze up and threw me out. I'll try and remember to save this as a draft periodically :-\

Well, I'm still not smoking after a week! Yay, go me! I have had some hard moments, notably Weds night, when Pat went back on the fags, and Friday night, which was the Capita party. However on both ocassions I held out and can feel justifiably proud of myself, I think! The hypnosis tape is definitely helping, not only in fighting the cravings but also in keeping calm and not biting everybody's heads off. This is especially trying as I also have PMT!

So tomorrow I'll be taking my first reward, booking a hair appointment which hopefully I can get for Friday, as I am off. I also have pre-ordered the Sims 2 from Amazon which should arrive on Friday so that will be a double present to myself :-) I have also booked Saturday off as a holiday, so I can spend all weekend playing Sims 2. What a sad muppet I am :o)

Pat has an appointment with the consultant tomorrow afternoon regarding his back surgery, so I will be going with him so I can hopefully get some idea of what aftercare he will need and how much time I'm going to need off work to look after him/Simon.

Now for a nice relaxing bath and then off to bed for me!

So this morning we are off to take Simon to the psychologist at the doctors' surgery, which is why I'm not at work. This is regarding a) the attacks on him and b) his feelings about his mum and how these relate to his bad behaviour recently. We also hope that we can swing a doctor's recommendation that we are moved into another area for the sake of Simon's mental health (not to mention mine and Pat's.) Fingers crossed...

Not doing too bad so far, although have just committed my first "nicotine related incidence of biting someone's head off."

To be fair though, he's a fucking arsehole and he did ask for it.

...although taking my breaks indoors is definitely strange. And I'm drinking so much water I feel like I'm floating...

Still, haven't killed anyone yet, which has got to be a plus.

Went into town yesterday and attempted to get a refund on the unused Kilroy train tickets. Sadly this was unsuccesful as tickets issued on account have to be refunded back to that account. Bum! However, decided to go ahead and get myself my early birthday present of a digital camera, since I'm hoping some of the relatives will give me money towards it. Anyway, it's my 30th and I deserve something special :-D Ended up with a Nikon, 2megapixels, 3x optical zoom, 5 modes plus movie mode (30 sec avi's, unfortunately soundless - but fuck it, we already have a camcorder), an extra memory card and all the software for under £200 not including coverplan. So I will be playing with that this weekend at mum's :-)

I am about to take Simon to school and then the car to the garage for its MoT, from which I shall walk home. It's all downhill on the way back, it remains to be seen if I will walk back UP the hill to collect it tonight.

Oh yes, and I bought a new handbag yesterday since my old one is getting really worn. As I cleaned out the old one, I made an amazing discovery: a 16th tucked in the back zipper pocket which has been in there well over 2 years! I've been to bloody Corfu and back with that in there =:-S So Patrick and I enjoyed this unexpected windfall last night, fucking hell I was well zonked.
