I got around last night to snagging and tagging the "couple" shots from the photoshoot. They're gorgeous! I've uploaded them here:

My hairdresser persuaded me that this phrase was not just a metaphor.

I got the keys yesterday!
Started moving some bits and pieces in already and buying things I don't have (such as a telly!) I have a removals man coming tomorrow to transport the heavy stuff, i.e. boxes full of books!, bed, chest of drawers, etc. I will probably be leaving my PC stuff here until Sunday as the estate agents STILL haven't been able to sort out the BT line, GRRR!
We ended up staying there overnight yesterday at Simon's request, bless him. The bed was a bit uncomfortable but that may be because I did too much yesterday and my back was killing me, so I'll have to give it a couple of weeks and see how it is, but may well need a new mattress.
I took some photos this morning - here they are!

Naturally I took my camera with me down south and only remembered to actually remove it from my bag on Saturday evening just before we went out.
I have potato-chopped these to a fare-thee-well by the way.
Rhandolph auditioning for the C&A catalogue
(whilst heroically pumping up inflatable bed)
Biggest tits competiton (won by Moggy)
Ebil Mistress Moggy!
This was taken while Moggy was having a pump (ooh-er), she came out looking so demonic that I thought some film noir treatment would be appropriate!

Wrists and hands are knackered from too much writing and typing, hence this'll be a quickie. (Ooh-er missus, etc.)
FINALLY the Workforce Team Manager position is up for grabs at work and I'm through round 1 and up for the round 2 assessment on Thursday. (I suggested that since it sounded like X-Factor we should have some kind of dance-off or something to see who gets the position - which given that I'm up against a disabled woman and uncoordinated geek, I feel would have gone in my favour - but this idea was unfathomably rejected.)
So I have been feverishly writing and rewriting firstly my CV, application and supporting evidence, and now my presentation, which is what the assessment is based on. We've got 15 minutes and it has to cover 3 areas: "What will the role entail, and what qualities and talents do I have to support that", "what are the problems and challenges to be overcome" and "My top 5 priorities in the next 3-6 months". I haven't run the timings yet, but I think I'm going to have major problems fitting it into 15 minutes o.O
Took a break last night to post a photographic tour of a nice walk Simon and I discovered at Birley Spa Bath House, although unless I splash out (hoho) on a pair of wellies for both of us, I doubt we'll be walking it for a few months. The heavens have opened here today - the ground is sodden and there was standing water all over as I was coming home.
But I didn't mind, and do you know why? Because I have a new car! and in additon to being a cool colour and having cute wheel trims and a low profile and a remote control stereo and air conditioning and all that stuff, it's got an AUTOMATIC RAIN-SENSING INTERMITTENT WIPER! You put it on, just like putting the wipers on normally, and not only does it go down to intermittent wipes while you're stood at lights, it actually senses the frequency of the raindrops and gets faster/more frequent or slower/less frequent depending on whether it's lightly drizzling or fucking tipping down! How cool is that?
