Had more than 4 weeks off work on the sick.

No humans, but Lucy and Rhandolph's beloved Leo passed away.

June 23rd, Lucy and Rhandolph's wedding.

Continued back pain.

Simon has been remarkably mature, under the circumstances of being uprooted and taken away from me to Cardiff.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
My boss's >:-[
14. Where did most of your money go?
It seemed to just go on bits and bobs. I spent a really big chunk having a professional photo set done with Simon.

Pirates of the Carribbean 3 coming out. And series 3 of Dr Who!
16. What song will always remind you of 2007?

Spending time with Simon, but then that wasn't really an option.

I don't like thinking of myself as a hater, but YES.

I have to say I haven't really focussed on politics at all this year.
36. Who did you miss?
Simon :-(

Don't ever assume your boss knows what they're doing just because they're the boss.
39. Sum up 2007 in one word.
"Forgettable"
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
Maybe there's no haven in this world for tender age
My heart beat like the wings of wild birds in a cage
My greatest hope my greatest cause to grieve
And my heart flew from its cage and it bled upon my sleeve
Oh the cries of passion were like wounds that needed healing
I couldn't hear them for the thunder
I was half the naked distance between hell and heaven's ceiling
And he almost pulled me under
Now someone's on the telephone, desperate in his pain
Someone's on the bathroom floor doing her cocaine
Someone's got his finger on the button in some room
No one can convince me we aren't gluttons for our doom
But I tried to make this place my place
I asked for providence to smile upon me with his sweet face
But I'll tell you
My place is of the sun and this place is of the dark
And I do not feel the romance I do not catch the spark
My place is of the sun and this place is of the dark
(by grace, my sight grows stronger)
And I do not feel the romance I do not catch the spark
(grows stronger)
By grace
(my place is of the sun)
My sight
(and this place is of the dark)
Is growing stronger
(I do not feel the romance)
I will not be a pawn
(I will not be)
For the prince of darkness any longer

The Everything Test
There are many different types of tests on the internet today. Personality tests, purity tests, stereotype tests, political tests. But now, there is one test to rule them all.Traditionally, online tests would ask certain questions about your musical tastes or clothing for a stereotype, your experiences for a purity test, or deep questions for a personality test. We're turning that upside down - all the questions affect all the results, and we've got some innovative results too! Enjoy :-)

Well, some of that's crap.
Lazy? I work two jobs.
I'm certainly not more extroverted than introverted.
Not sure about engineering versus artistic, either.
Interesting (and happy) to see my attitudes placed firmly in the socialist workers group, despite being fairly well-paid these days.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Leaving Pat.

11. What was the best thing you bought? Jessica Rabbit platinum vibrator.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? Mine. And Simon's school work has been very good.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Pat's outrageous behaviour both before and after I left will stay with me a long time.
14. Where did most of your money go? Not sure really. A lot went on moving out. I also seem to have spent an awful lot on Simon.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Moving into my new home. Actually I'm still excited now!
16. What song will always remind you of 2006? Probably "Kid Fears" by the Indigo Girls. It wasn't released this year but I've listened to it a lot.

i. happier or sadder? Happier
ii. thinner or fatter? Fatter (again)
iii. richer or poorer? About the same
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Walking. Cuddling Simon.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Eating crap. Trying to placate Pat. Going to marriage counselling... waste of time and money there.
20. How will you be spending Christmas? I spent it at my mum's, with Lucy and Rhandolph. And a bruised arse!
21. Did you fall in love in 2006? No.
22. How many one-night stands? None.
23. What was your favorite TV program? I was about to type "Casualty, obviously" but now I've remembered Dr Who. I think I may have to break with tradition and select Dr Who, even though it's only on for 13 too-short weeks.
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? Oh yes.
25. What was the best book you read? Oooh. I haven't read much new fiction this year. I think I'll have to say Terry Pratchett's Wintersmith.

29. What was your favorite film of this year? Happy Feet. Dancing penguins! Heeeee! PotC2 a close second.
30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I was 33. My team had a whipround and bought me a George Foreman grill. I was working on the actual day. Went out to McD's at lunchtime and brought takeout back for everyone, which was naughty but nice.
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? I don't know. It's been pretty satisfying as it is.
32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006? "Built for comfort, not speed."

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Toss-up (fnar) between Johnny Depp, David Tennant and Hugh Jackman.

37. Who was the best new person you met? I don't grade people for goodness sake. What an odd question.
38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006. No matter how much you think you know someone, they can still disappoint you in so many surprising ways. Especially if they have testicles.
39. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
How I wish I could surrender my soul;
Shed the clothes that become my skin;
See the liar that burns within my needing.
How I wish I'd chosen darkness from cold.
How I wish I had screamed out loud,
Instead I've found no meaning.
I guess it's time I run far, far away; find comfort in pain,
All pleasure's the same: it just keeps me from trouble.
Hides my true shape, like Dorian Gray.
I've heard what they say, but I'm not here for trouble.
It's more than just words: it's just tears and rain.
How I wish I could walk through the doors of my mind;
Hold memory close at hand,
Help me understand the years.
How I wish I could choose between Heaven and Hell.
How I wish I would save my soul.
I'm so cold from fear.
I guess it's time I run far, far away; find comfort in pain,
All pleasure's the same: it just keeps me from trouble.
Hides my true shape, like Dorian Gray.
I've heard what they say, but I'm not here for trouble.
Far, far away; find comfort in pain.
All pleasure's the same: it just keeps me from trouble.
It's more than just words: it's just tears and rain.
"Tears and Rain", James Blunt

But, if I remained here with you, of the girls,
things could not be right the same ones.
